Frame, or Frame One, began creating graffiti as a romantic gesture during his teen years. He soon developed a passion and style for the art which led him to his first paid graffiti job, painting gang graffiti for the movie, Colors in 1988. Since then, Frame has participated in many commercial and private works of art, including the coordination of the largest graffiti art event on the west coast, the West Coast Graffiti Party.
He recently visited the L.A. River where over 30 of his graffiti contributions once stood, only to find a clean, patchy canvas. Today he is considered one of the “old school” graffiti writers who influenced the graffiti scene in the 1980s and 1990s.
