SABER
In 1997, Saber painted the biggest “wild style” graffiti piece on the L.A. River cement walls. It measured 250 ft X 55 ft, almost the size of a football field, and could be seen clearly from a satellite photo. This contribution has made him a legend in the graffiti community. In September 2009, the US Army Corps of Engineers buffed his piece leaving only large gray patches of paint.
Today, Saber continues to explore his artistic abilities by painting landscapes, creating metal and wood sculptures and designing movie sets. His work has been displayed in various galleries.
Recently, he made headlines when he became a finalist in a video contest for national health care reform. He used graffiti on the American flag to express his thoughts on health care which sparked great controversy.
